Warning! Penny Toxicity In Dogs! Remembering Violet
I just received an incredibly sad email from my dear and beautiful friend Tricia. She told me that she lost her precious 3.5 year old rescued Pug Violet a few days ago. Through tests she learned that Violet had picked up and swallowed a penny that was stuck in the fold of her stomach. Any penny that was produced after 1982 is TOXIC TO DOGS!!! Had it been any other coin Violet would have become ill, but there is a good chance that she would be alive today! Tricia had some work done in her home, and suspects that it was accidentally dropped by one of the workers. She is both devastated and heartbroken! I know that all of my lovely readers will join me in sending their love and prayers to my very wonderful friend.

I finally got around to fulfilling one of my main New Year's resolutions! #1 on the hit list was re-organizing the pantry. I used a few containers, baskets, etc., that I found around the house and I ordered quite a few of the incredible OXO Pop Containers in a wide variety of sizes at crateandbarrel.com. The fact that these containers are a pretty much lifetime investment most definitely justifies the prices. Needless to say......... I don't know what took me so long! :) Side Note: All containers of course are BPA Free!
